Don’t be wooed by her southern charm. Donna Counts is a designer with a plan. Focused, intuitive and decisive she cuts to the chase, saving time and money. The result is a brilliant blending of color, texture, shapes and their opposites. She releases all peripheral “fluff” and focuses on the most important element; “the envelope”. Once that is perfect, decoration can begin.

“When a space has a positive energy flow, and the elements are all in harmony, the decoration of it becomes so easy, it’s natural. But if the space has problems, they must be resolved in order to implement a creative finished product.”

Born in Tennessee, Donna has lived in Hampton Roads for long enough to know that it is home. Educated at University of Tennessee, Donna met Susan when the two of them were doing a stint at the office furniture dealership; Chasens. Partnership in Pilato & Counts is where Donna was always destined to be. It is here that she has shown her talent in such prestigious spaces as Towne Bank, Prudential Towne Realty, Towne Financial Services, Baker’s Crust, Fraim & Fiorella, P.C., Oast & Hook, and the Eastern Shore’s Bay Creek. When Donna isn’t at the office, you can find her around Downtown Norfolk gleaning inspiration.
